Kids love racing. The Elite C:62 SLX Rookie is built to take that enthusiasm, and turn it into racecourse-devouring speed. Crafted from the same C:62 carbon as our adult race bikes, it boasts exactly the same features you'd expect to see on a World Cup athlete's bike. The Manitou Markhor suspension fork is specially tuned for a child's lower weight, for the best possible performance. Sram's NX Eagle 1x12 gears deliver a huge range and precise shifts. And Magura MT Thirty hydraulic disc brakes have all the power needed to bring the Newmen Evolution wheels - shod with grippy tyres and ultra-light Schwalbe Aerothan tubes - safely to a halt.
Frame description
Winning races means having kit that won't let you down. That's the reason our full-gas Elite C:62 Rookie frame is built with the same attention to detail as our adult race frames - and from the same C:62 carbon, too. A 12mm thru axle at the rear and tapered head tube up front mean it's fast and precise, even under pressure. Slender seatstays keep the ride comfortable, even on rougher courses. And internal cable routing reduces maintenance downtime and keeps those second-shaving gear shifts accurate, time after time.

Why should you cycle to work?
Commuting by bike has many benefits including reducing your carbon footprint, improving your fitness and saving you money. With the rising cost of fuel, countless road works and congestion, there's never been a better time to start commuting by bike. We accept Cycle to Work vouchers or offer 0% finance over 12 months to get you commuting by bike.
How does it work?
In essence, your employer buys a bike for you to ride to work and you ‘hire’ it through salary sacrifice (which is where you save by not paying tax and National Insurance contributions on the monthly fees). At the end of the ‘hire’ period, you are usually offered the option to buy the bike from your employer.
Due to the way cycle schemes operate, we charge an admin fee to cover the part of the fees that the scheme incurs for us to provide them. The admin fee is based on the total value quoted for your bike and any accessories. The admin fee is subsidised by us so you're not paying for the total cost of the scheme, just a small percentage.
If the bike is on sale then it is up to the manager's discretion whether there will be an admin fee applicable.
Green Commute Initiative
There is no admin fee when using Green Commute Initiative. If your company hasn't picked a scheme yet, we recommend using this cycle scheme.

For all other cycle schemes we charge a 10% admin fee. E.G you want a bike that costs £1000, we will charge you a £100 deposit to hold the bike while your voucher is arranged. Your voucher will still need to be for £1000. For sale priced bikes this will differ, please contact us to find out more.
