About The Ark Cycles

The Ark Cycles is an independent bike shop based in Stroud, serving riders across Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas. The Ark Cycles builds on 35 years of heritage established by our forerunner Noah's Cycles. We’re passionate about helping people enjoy cycling more, whether that’s finding the right bike, keeping it running smoothly, or offering honest advice built on real riding experience.

Noah's was best known for its mountain bikes but always stocked a wide variety of bikes with something for everyone. We've built on this and have introduced a full range of electric bikes - electric hybrids, electric road bikes, gravel bikes and e-mountain bikes. With the boom for two wheels showing no signs of slowing, we've been able to grow our business and continue to extend our wide range of bikes. Each year we continue to grow our services, products and amazing team.

Meet The Team

	Sean Townsend Director and Head of Sales Sean is head of our showroom and has covered all cycling disciplines of the sport, having competed against some of the biggest names on the UK domestic racing scene. Sean now spends most of his time shredding the local trails.
	Mike Swinford Director and Workshop Manager Our head mechanic brings over 15 years of experience to the valley. Mike loves gravel riding and touring. Be sure to ask him what kit to take on your next adventure!
	Ellie Townsend Sales administration and Social Media  Ellie is responsible for sales administration and runs our social media department. Her extensive knowledge of riding, touring and racing over all terrain in all conditions means that you're in safe hands.
	Andy Townsend Sales Andy is our sales assistant and stock manager and specialises in electric bikes. He also makes a good coffee!
	Pete Birt Customer Services Manager Pete brings 20 years of bike industry experience to the Ark. He enjoys riding all types of bikes, and you'll often see him shredding the local trails and on the roads in and around the Cotswolds.
