The Pivot Trail 429 combines XC pedalling efficiency with a reworked DW-Link, offering plush bottomless riding experience. This confidence-inspiring versatile trail bike has a revamped 'Hollow Core' carbon frame that is 300g lighter than the old model, with a slacker head angle and longer reach for improved handling.
The Flip Chip adjusts geometry too, offering enhanced sharper handling or a bottomless longer travel kind of feel.
The Fox Factory DW-Link™ suspension, inspired by Pivot’s downhill bikes, minimises bob for all-day comfort without sacrificing trail chatter absorption. This ensures an ideal mix of pedalling efficiency and plush travel on descents.
The Flip Chip also adjusts the bottom bracket height, accommodating tyre choices from 29” for downhill control to mixed or 27.5 wheels for easier climbing and direction changes.
Pivot pioneered Super Boost Plus 157 spacing, which enables shorter chainstays for tight cornering, better tyre clearance, a stiffer frame, and rigid hubs with enhanced spoke tension and wheel stiffness. It also improves drivetrain positioning for better clearance and mud shedding.
