The Acid 240 Hybrid Rookie Pro is a real mountain bike, scaled down for smaller riders. From its perfectly proportioned frame to the 19mm-diameter handlebars and shorter cranks, we built it to fit properly. And the attention to detail extends further, with a Suntour suspension fork offering 80mm of travel, easy-shifting Shimano Cues 1x9 gears, grippy Schwalbe 2.1in tyres, powerful Shimano hydraulic disc brakes and even a flat mount kickstand. But the ace up this little bike's sleeve is its lightweight Bosch SX motor and 400Wh battery. Together they provide up to 55Nm of pedalling assistance up to a maximum of 20km/h, which is more than enough to give your youngster the boost they need to keep up with the grown-ups. And that's sure to put a big smile on their face...

Frame description
From its Advanced Internal Cable Routing to its Boost rear axle and UDH gear hanger, the Acid 240 Hybrid Rookie's frame is bursting with exactly the same kind of attention to detail as our adult mountain bikes. The lightweight Bosch SX drive and fixed 400Wh battery sit snugly in the frame, providing up to 55Nm of pedal assistance to a maximum speed of 20km/h, plus full compatibility with the optional 250Wh PowerMore range extender. It's even dropper seatpost ready and SIC 2.0 compatible, for easy fitting of a luggage carrier. And, with the included kickstand, your youngster will never struggle for somewhere to park it.
